USED SHUR CUSTOM / Dinky Type Stain Red [05]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1980's Dinky Type guitar built by Suhr himself prior to the founding of Suhr Guitars!

This guitar was built by John Suhr, and judging by the Pot Date (1984 POT) and other features, it was most likely assembled at Rudy's Music in New York City before the formation of Pensa/Suhr.

The neck is maple and the fingerboard is probably rosewood. The body is boldly made of 2-piece quilted maple. Pickups are Seymour Duncan Hot Rails x2 and 59BJ. The body is marked "Stain Red" and signed by Suhr on the back of the neck and on the control plate.

Unfortunately, the neck end and body joint are cracked due to over-tightening of the screws. It has been fixed and can be played without any problems.

Other than that, there are some dents and scratches commensurate with its age, but the truss rod has plenty of room and playability is good.
