This is a 2002 HD-28 featuring the gold leaf logo and a low profile neck with a 42.9mm nut width.
There are some dents, scratches, cloudy paint, and stains on the entire surface, and the top has a crack fixed under the bridge (with a crack stopper). The back of the neck has capo scratches and stand scratches. It looks like it has been played a hundred times.
There is evidence of pickups having been installed, and endpin jacks have been machined (endpins are not currently installed). A stop pin has been retrofitted to the heel of the neck.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees left and right. The frets have been rubbed and are approximately 70% high, with the 12th fret set up low at approximately 2.0mm on the 6th string and 1.7mm on the 1st string, making the guitar easy to play and sound perfect.
The fret strings are set low, at approximately 2.0 mm on the 6th string and 1.7 mm on the 1st string, and are perfect in terms of playability and sound. The scalloped bracing gives a sense of clarity, and the balance from high to low tones is good. The stopper string of the hard case attached to the instrument has come off.
The price is reasonable. Recommended for those who are looking for a Martin in player's condition.

「鳴ります！プレイヤーズ・コンディションのHD-28！」

マーティンがスキャロップド・ブレーシングを復活させた最初のモデルがこちらHD-28。当個体は金箔ロゴ、ナット幅42.9mmのロー・プロファイル・ネックをフィーチャーした2002年製です。
全体に打痕、引っ掻き傷、塗膜の曇りや汚れが散見され、トップにはブリッジ下方のクラック修正痕(割れ止め有り)、バックにはベルト・バックル傷、ヘッドの表裏にはカポを止めていたと思われる痕、ネック裏にはカポ傷やスタンド傷、バインディング上の塗膜の剥げ、金属部品の錆やくすみが確認できます。百戦錬磨の様相です。
ピックアップが取り付けられていた形跡があり、エンドピン・ジャック加工がなされています(現在エンドピンは未装着)。またストップ・ピンがネック・ヒールに後付けされています。
ネックの状態は適正で、トラス・ロッドは左右60度まで動作確認済です。フレットは擦り合わせ済で高さは7割前後残っています。12フレットの弦高は6弦側が約2.0mm、1弦側で約1.7mmと低めにセット・アップされており、演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。
さすがに外見相応に弾き込まれているようで、弦高が低めであるにもかかわらず頼もしく鳴ってくれます。スキャロップド・ブレーシングらしい明瞭さも感じさせてくれ、高音から低音までのバランスは良好です。なお付属のハード・ケースの蓋のストッパーの紐が外れてしまっています。
お値段もリーズナブル。プレイヤーズ・コンディションのマーティンをお探しの方にお勧めの一本です。
