USED Paul Reed Smith (PRS) / McCarty Vintage Yellow 2000 [10]

The name "McCarty" was given by Ted McCarty, the former president of Gibson who led the golden age of guitar building (1950-1966), and whom Paul loved very much. In the late 1980s, Paul Reed Smith invited Ted McCarty as a consultant for guitar design and production technology in order to inject his own brand with the "LP" character that Paul loved, rather than the edgy and tight tone of the PRS. In 1994, the McCarty model was released in honor of Ted McCarty's knowledge, friendship, and memory. At that time, the 22nd fret specification, thicker body compared to the Custom 24, etc., wrap-around style bridge, thicker neck, Cruson type pegs, and PU that was designed with the original PAF in mind were the main features of this famous model, which supported PRS along with the Custom when there were still few variations available. Body is maple, back and neck are mahogany, fingerboard is rosewood, and it is equipped with "McCarty" PU, which is a little hotter than the original PAF. The neck shape is wide fat.

There are scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents on the body. There are no noticeable damage on the body except for wipe scratches. There are scratches on the top of the head and line scratches made by the tips of the strings. The fingerboard has a filled-in ding on the edge of the 6th string. The nut has been replaced. Both sides of the bridge studs have been adjusted with the wrong tool size, so there is no noticeable damage to the hardware, although there are some scuffs.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the tightening and loosening direction, and can still be turned in the tightening direction. There are no string marks on the frets and about 80% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, it is in good condition considering its age, with no noticeable damage and no cloudy surface, which is common.
