Epiphone's 1958 Korina Flying V, made in 1999, is now in stock!
This model was first released by Gibson in 1958, but was initially shunned because of its radical design, and production ended after only a few shipments. The Korina Flying V was first released by Gibson in 1958, but its radical design was initially shunned and production was discontinued after only a few shipments.
The most distinctive feature of this model is the Korina used for the body material, which is also used in the model name. The body is made of Collina, which is lighter than mahogany, so it has good mid to high frequency range, and the sound is very easy to handle, even though the V shape tends to lean strongly toward the midrange.

The neck condition is currently fine. The truss rod can be adjusted about 90 degrees in the tightening direction. Overall, there are some signs of use commensurate with the age of the instrument. There are dents on the top and back of the body with paint chips and wood chips. Other minor dents are scattered throughout. There are scratches on the buckle. There are picking scratches. There are rust and tarnish on metal parts. The strap pin has been replaced with a locking type, but the strap side is missing. The pegs have been replaced.

Neck condition is currently fine.
Truss rod has 90 degrees of tightness remaining.
About 70% frets remaining.
String height on 12F 6th string side: approx. 2.0mm, 1st string side: approx. 1.5mm

1958年にギブソンからリリースされるも最初はそのあまりに先鋭的なデザインから敬遠され僅かな出荷数で生産終了。その後サイケデリックなプレイから爆発的な人気を博したモデルです。
なんといっても特徴はモデル名にもなっている、ボディ材に使用されているコリーナです。マホガニーよりも軽量なため中域から高域の抜けが良く、中域に強く寄りがちなVシェイプですが非常に扱いやすいサウンドとなっています。1958 Vといえばナチュラルが主流の中、エボニーカラーというのも要注目ポイントです。

ネックコンディションは現状問題ありません。トラスロッドは締め方向に約90°調整可能です。 全体的に年式相応の使用感があります。 ボディトップ、およびバックの外周部に塗装欠け、木部欠けを伴う打痕があります。その他細かい打痕が各所に点在しています。 バックル傷があります。ピッキング傷があります。 金属パーツに錆、くすみがあります。 ストラップピンがロックタイプに交換されていますが、ストラップ側は欠品しています。 ペグが交換されています。
